World Summit Awards - Australia is the National Expert entity for Australia, formed under the umbrella of World Summit Awards Global Network.

World Summit Awards was initiated in 2003 in the framework of the UN World Summit on Information Society. World Summit Award uses the mechanism of a global UN based award to find out the best and most innovative start-ups and creative solutions to make our world a better place. 
Locally developed content, tackling local challenges with global relevance. World Summit Awards organises international conferences, innovation events and workshops all over the world to share success stories and support young people from all over the world.

As the National Expert Entity, all Startups, Social Entrepreneurs & Digital Innovators in Australia are invited to take mobile and web-based applications, such as: Apps, Webpages, Applications for Wearables, Kiosk Installations, SMS based products, Mobile and Online Games and Interactive Mobile Productions to the global stage of World Summit Awards.
