Alan Stern

Alan Stern is a highly experienced consultant and executive in the aerospace field, currently serving as the CEO of Uwingu since August 2012, where the focus is on connecting people to the sky and space while funding private sector space projects. As a Co-Founder and Chief Scientist at World View, Alan contributes to the development of innovative high-altitude flight systems. Alan holds the position of Associate Vice President at Southwest Research Institute and was a board member at Paragon Space Development Corporation from 2011 to 2014. Previous roles include Director at Space Florida, Chief Scientist and Mission Architect for Moon Express, and a member of the board at the Challenger Center for Space Science Education. Alan's academic credentials include a PhD in Astrophysics and Planetary Science from the University of Colorado Boulder and multiple degrees in astronomy and aerospace engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.
