Patrick Hodges

Patrick Hodges is a seasoned professional in cloud security with extensive experience across multiple organizations in various roles. Currently serving as a Principal Cloud Security Consultant at World Wide Technology since September 2023, Patrick previously held the position of Enterprise Cloud Security Architect at Rapid7 from March 2021 to September 2023, focusing on security automation for cloud environments. As an adjunct professor and course creator at the UNC School of Information and Library Science from October 2016 to May 2022, Patrick developed a course on information security incorporating industry best practices. Previous roles include Cloud Security Services Manager at Truist, Corporate Information Security Section Manager at BB&T, and Security Engineer at MetLife. Patrick also founded Section 9 Security, providing penetration testing and threat analysis services. Educationally, Patrick earned a Master’s degree in Cybersecurity from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor's degree in Information Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
