Mehmet Yildirim

Mehmet Yildirim is a highly experienced professional in the field of machine learning and computer vision, currently serving as the Machine Learning Engineering Lead at Tools for Humanity since February 2022. Previously, Mehmet held positions at Siemens as Team Lead Mapping and Computer Vision and Senior Research And Development Engineer from May 2017 to February 2022. As a co-founder and CTO at Pergatech, from April 2015 to May 2017, Mehmet contributed to significant advancements in technology. Additionally, Mehmet has academic experience as a Research Assistant at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, where software for industrial camera calibration and machine learning-based object detection was developed. Other notable positions include Computer Vision Research Engineer at GFaI and Research Assistant at Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, where innovative algorithms for gesture recognition were created. Mehmet's educational background includes a Master's degree in Geodesy and Geoinformation Science from Technische Universität Berlin and a Bachelor's degree from Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi.
