Yi Cheng

Yi (Russell) Cheng is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in engineering and software development across various sectors, including finance and healthcare. Currently serving as Head of Engineering EMEA at WorldFirst since June 2020, Yi manages multiple scrum teams and a solutions architect team, focusing on developing scalable financial service platforms and scaling the Alipay+ solution. Prior to this role, Yi held leadership positions at Babylon Health and Vision (In Practice Systems Ltd), where responsibilities included leading development teams and creating integration platforms to connect healthcare systems internationally. Yi began a career in technical project management at Novel-SuperTV, advancing rapidly while contributing to real-time solutions for a substantial user base. Educational credentials include a Master’s degree in Computer Science - Global Computing from the University of Bristol and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Beijing Jiaotong University.
