Brendan Obrien

Brendan O'Brien is an experienced engineering professional currently serving as Lead Engineer at WorldQuant since December 2024. Prior to this role, Brendan worked at IEX, the Investors Exchange, as a Systems Reliability Engineer, focusing on low latency Linux systems engineering and the use of Ansible and Terraform for system configuration. At Imagine Software, Brendan held multiple positions over sixteen years, including Director of ASP Operations and VP of ASP Technical Operations, where responsibilities included leading cross-functional teams and managing global operations for a real-time portfolio and risk management system. Brendan's technical career began as a Web Developer in e-commerce solutions and as a Network Administrator at Graham & James, LLP, providing foundational skills in various programming and administrative roles. Brendan holds a BA in Economics from Hunter College and has pursued additional education through MongoDB University and Coursera.
