Melissa Karp

Melissa Karp is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in various sectors. Currently serving as Senior Associate General Counsel at WorldQuant, LLC since November 2017, Melissa provides legal guidance on technology, privacy, employment, and commercial matters, with a focus on the legal aspects of Artificial Intelligence. Prior to this, Melissa held the position of Vice President and Counsel at Deutsche Bank from March 2016 to November 2017 and was Director of Business Affairs at Unified from June 2014 to March 2016, where legal and operational support was provided for a marketing cloud technology company. Earlier experience includes working as an Associate at Schulte Roth & Zabel LLP, focusing on intellectual property and employment matters. Melissa started their career with an internship at the Legal Aid Society and a research assistant position at the American Institutes for Research. Melissa holds a Bachelor of Science in Policy Analysis and Management from Cornell University and a law degree from Fordham University School of Law, supplemented by study at the University of Amsterdam.
