Michael Liu

Michael Liu has extensive experience in software development and financial risk management. Currently serving as Director and Portfolio Manager at WorldQuant since February 2014, Michael has previously held roles as Vice President, Portfolio Manager, and Vice President, Simulator Team Lead at the same company. Prior to WorldQuant, Michael worked at Barclays Capital as an Analyst and C++ Risk Engine Developer from October 2011 to February 2014. Michael's earlier positions include C++ Game Programmer roles at RealU, gameLAB (NTU), and TQ Global, as well as an Embedded Design Engineer at WPG System. Michael holds a Master's degree in Computer Software and Theory from Shanghai University and a Bachelor's degree in Electronic Science and Technology from the University of Science and Technology of China.
