Nihal Manvi

Nihal Manvi is a Senior Quantitative Researcher at WorldQuant since July 2023, having previously served as a Quantitative Researcher. Prior experience includes a Trading Intern role at Optiver, where Nihal completed an in-depth course on derivative theory and developed innovative trading strategies. As a Student Researcher at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, Nihal focused on using high-fidelity Direct Numerical Simulations to train a Tensor Basis Neural Network for predicting Reynolds stress anisotropy. An internship at the Aeronautical Development Establishment/DRDO involved the development of an objective airfoil selection methodology for HALE UAV applications. Additionally, Nihal contributed as a Teaching Assistant for a MOOC Engineering Mechanics course with NPTEL. Nihal holds a Bachelor of Technology and a Master of Technology in Aerospace Engineering and Data Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, completed in 2023.
