Pierre Matri is the Vice President of AI Technology at WorldQuant, where responsibilities include leading the AI Platforms and Institutional Initiatives teams since January 2021. Previously, Pierre served as Lead Engineer in AI Technology, focusing on AI platform architecture and design. Pierre's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, during which Týr, an object storage system aimed at Big Data and HPC convergence, was developed. Prior experience includes a Ph.D. internship at Inria, concentrating on storage solutions for small objects and algorithmic optimization for distributed database systems, technical leadership at Coolony in developing machine learning algorithms, and a network engineering internship at Saveho.
