Xin (Cindy) Chen has a diverse work experience that spans across various industries. Xin (Cindy) started their career as a Technical Support Intern at GE Transportation in 2008 and then returned to the same company for another internship in 2011.

In 2011, they also started working as a Data Analyst (Research Assistant) at North Carolina State University, where they remained until 2014. Xin (Cindy) then became a Teaching Assistant at the university from 2012 to 2015.

In 2016, Xin joined Duke University as a Data Scientist, focusing on Machine Learning techniques. Their role involved data analysis, model optimization using Python and AWS, and building a model using variational inference. Xin (Cindy) worked in Pearson Lab, Duke Institute of Brain Sciences, until 2017.

After leaving Duke, Xin joined Citadel in 2017 as a Data Engineer. Xin (Cindy) was promoted to Senior Data Engineer in 2019 and remained in that role until 2023.
