Yehuda Meir

Deputy Head Of AI at WorldQuant

Yehuda Meir has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Yehuda began their career in 2006 as a Test and Verification Engineer at CopperGate before moving on to Motorola Solutions as a HW Engineer in 2008. In 2011, Yehuda joined Tel Aviv University as a Ph.D. student, eventually becoming a Lecturer and staying with the university until 2017.

In 2016, Yehuda joined WorldQuant as a Quantitative Researcher and gradually climbed the ranks, becoming a Senior Quantitative Researcher in 2017 and then Vice President Research in 2019. Yehuda then transitioned to the role of Regional Research Director in 2021 before being promoted to Deputy General Manager and Regional Research Director in 2022. Most recently, Yehuda served as the Deputy General Manager and Senior Regional Research Director in 2023. Additionally, they are currently working as the Deputy Head of AI at WorldQuant.

Yehuda Meir holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, which they obtained from Tel Aviv University from 2011 to 2015. Prior to that, from 2009 to 2010, they completed their Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Electrical Engineering at the same university. Yehuda Meir's educational background also includes a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Electrical Engineering, which they received from Tel Aviv University from 2005 to 2009.

In addition to their formal education, Yehuda Meir has obtained several certifications. Yehuda completed various online courses, including "Convolutional Neural Networks," "Deep Learning," "Sequence Models," "Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization," "Neural Networks and Deep Learning," and "Structural Machine Learning Progress" from Coursera, with completion dates in 2019. Yehuda also completed a course titled "Data Science and Big Data Analytics: Making Data-Driven Decisions" from MIT xPRO in December 2017.
