Senior Research Engineer - Machine Learning at Worlds

Alan Parish has a wealth of experience in the field of machine learning, medical imaging, and computational modelling. Alan began their career in 2009 as a PhD Researcher at Queen Mary, University of London, where they developed analytical techniques to monitor bone penetration in 3D via computer tomography analysis. In 2014, they joined The University of Nottingham as a Research Fellow in Medical Imaging and Computational Modelling, working on developing new IP in the realms of spinal fusion devices, 3D modelling of bones, and CAD work into designing the devices. In 2016, they became Chief Technical Officer at inMateriis, providing leadership, technical and computational insight and support for materials, virtual reality imaging, and 3D printing, including medical device design, manufacture, and software solutions. In 2015, they also began working as a Consultant at AJBP Imaging Consultancy. Currently, they are a Senior Research Engineer - Machine Learning at Worlds, a position they have held since 2022.

Alan Parish attended Queen Mary University of London from 2009 to 2015, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in the field of Development of Analytical Techniques to Monitor Bone Penetration in 3D Via Computer Tomograph. Prior to this, they attended Imperial College London from 2005 to 2009, where they obtained a Master of Engineering - MEng in Bio-materials and Tissue Engineering.
