Christopher Schade is an artist and Assistant Professor at the University of Massachusetts Boston, where they have been teaching since 2016. They also hold the position of Associate Professor at UMass Boston and have been a Professor of Plein Air Painting and The Historical Study of Landscape with International Studies Abroad since 2008. Prior to their current roles, Christopher served as an Adjunct Instructor of Painting, Drawing, and Color Theory at Hudson County Community College from 2006 to 2016, and as an Adjunct Instructor of Drawing at Montclair State University from 2002 to 2016. They earned a BAA in Plan II (Honors Humanities) and Studio Art at The University of Texas at Austin and an MFA in Painting and Printmaking from Yale University.
