Brian Thacker

Brian Thacker has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Brian has worked as a Courier for Carolina Delivery & Logistics LLC and the American Red Cross since 2018. Prior to that, they worked as an Insurance Agent/Salesperson for HCC Medical Insurance Services, specializing in temporary international travel medical insurance plans. In 2005, Brian started their own company, http://www.short-termhealthinsurance.com, as an Owner/Agent, offering affordable Cobra alternative plans and short-term insurance plans. In 1996, they founded Thacker Agency.com, where they served as an Owner/Agent, helping individuals and families navigate individual and family medical insurance plans. Alongside their insurance career, Brian also has experience as a Yoga Instructor, teaching group fitness classes at IBM, Duke Health, and Cisco Systems.

Brian Thacker received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Communications from Wake Forest University, where they studied from 1990 to 1994. In addition to their degree, they obtained several certifications throughout their career. In November 2016, they earned a 500 E-RYT Certification for teaching yoga from the Yoga Alliance. Furthermore, in July 1996, they became an Insurance Agent, specializing in Accident, Health, Life, Variable Life, and Variable Annuities, acquiring the necessary certification from the NC DOI.
