Neil Hamamoto is a conceptual artist who creates works in sculpture, painting, photography and installation, and operates a non-profit artist studio called worthless studios. They are the founder and artistic director of worthless studios, a Brooklyn-based community art space dedicated to supporting artists’ fabrication needs and creating engaging public art. They earned a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design from Stanford University School of Engineering (2011–2015). They founded and served as Head of Design at Vanford, Inc. from 2014 to 2016, an education technology startup connecting college students to peer tutors, which expanded nationally to 12 campuses before being acquired by GoFundMe. They were a Product Designer at GoFundMe from 2016 to 2017, leading design on major website changes to increase donor growth and average donation size, and contributing to the direction of the future website, Android and iOS apps.
