Michael Barnes

Michael Barnes has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Michael started their career as a Technical Information Specialist at Cadence Group, where they worked on projects involving writing, editing, archiving, and project management. Afterward, they joined Games International Magazine as a Writer and Assistant Editor, responsible for writing and editing feature articles, reviews, and analysis. Michael then worked as a Public Health Communications Fellow at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, conducting research on public health marketing and communications.

Following that, Michael became a Web Content Writer and Developer at Mercer University, where they maintained and developed the Swilley Library website, created marketing materials, and produced instructional videos. Michael also worked as a Proposal Writer and Content Developer at Cisco Systems, writing and editing bid proposals for various clients. Additionally, they cofounded FortressAT.com, a popular board gaming website, where they served as an editor, community leader, and administrator.

Michael also worked as a Freelance Columnist for Gameshark.com, writing a weekly column about hobby board games, and as a Feature Columnist and Social Media Administrator at WorthPoint, where they wrote articles on art, antiques, and collectibles and managed the site's social media presence. Michael then became a Senior Content Analyst at OptumRx (formerly Prescription Solutions), further developing their expertise in content analysis.

Their most recent role is as a cofounder, editor, and columnist for No High Scores, an adult-focused gaming website, where they are responsible for creating content, editorial direction, design, and other editorial duties. Throughout their career, Michael has demonstrated a strong passion for writing and content development in various fields.

Michael Barnes obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Georgia State University, where they studied from 2000 to 2006.
