Steve Olsen is the founder and owner of ResiliCorp, an international manufacturing and logistics company dedicated to sustainable and circular economies, focusing on waste management and environmental stewardship. Olsen serves as an adjunct faculty member at both Ohio University, where a course on Resilience Theory and Practice has been developed for the Masters of Sustainability, Security, and Resilience Program, and Unity Environmental University, teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in community planning and natural resources. As a former Town Councilor for Millinocket, Olsen chaired the Economic Development and Sustainability Committee and participated in various other committees. Experience also includes a membership on the Maine Climate Council under Governor Janet Mills, as well as previous roles founding Edible Wilds LLC, and directing sustainable development at Gorilla Engineering and Design. Olsen's educational background includes a PhD student position in Anthropology and Environmental Policy at the University of Maine, along with degrees in Natural Resources, Environmental Studies, and a Graduate Certificate in Global Sustainability from Virginia Tech.
