Michael Madison serves as the Deputy Director at the Ulster County Department of Emergency Services since December 2020, overseeing the Division of Emergency Management and developing systems to protect lives and property. Madison has extensive experience in fire and emergency services, holding a long-term role with the Hudson Fire Department since 1995 and being involved with Team Red, White & Blue, and the Wounded Warrior Project as a Warrior Leader-Alumni. Madison contributed to the Hudson City School District's School Climate and Safety Advisory Committee in 2023 and previously served as NYS OEM Region II Regional Coordinator and a Peer Support Specialist with the Mental Health Association of Columbia Greene Counties. A veteran of the New York Army National Guard, Madison brings a wealth of military and emergency response experience and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Emergency Management at the University of New Haven, following a Bachelor’s degree in Homeland Security and Emergency Management.
