Eric Haase

Eric Haase has extensive work experience in software engineering. Eric started their career at JPL (NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory) working on the Cassini Mission to Saturn as an Academic Part-Time employee. Eric then worked as a Research Assistant at the University of California, Riverside, Smart Tools Laboratory.

Moving onwards, Eric joined IBM's POWER Open Source and Solutions division as a Software Engineer and later transitioned to the role of Staff Software Engineer. At IBM, they gained experience in various software engineering roles over a span of 9 years.

Currently, Eric is employed at WP Engine as a Principal Software Engineer. Eric has held multiple positions during their tenure at the company, including Senior Staff Software Engineer and Senior Software Engineer. Eric has been involved in developing and managing various projects, such as an internal Kubernetes-based platform integrating Cloud Native technologies and Google Cloud products, and a Smart Plugin Manager. Eric has also led teams and contributed significantly to the company's DevOps practices.

Eric Haase attended the University of California, Riverside from 2003 to 2006, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science. In addition, they have obtained certifications in Supervised Machine Learning: Regression and Classification from Coursera and is a Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®) from Scrum Alliance, which they obtained in November 2022. Eric has not provided the month and year of obtaining their Supervised Machine Learning certification.
