Founded in 2019, WPE Research and Development is an engineering-driven company focused on designing advanced energy systems for a resilient, carbon-free future, addressing both civilian and mission-critical applications.
At the core of our approach is capturability, a design principle aimed at maximizing energy extraction from real-world wind conditions rather than idealized scenarios. This concept led to the development of EOS Turbowind, a compact wind microturbine integrating mechanical engineering, power electronics, advanced control systems and digital intelligence to ensure reliable operation across diverse environments, with attention to urban and distributed settings.
During the participation in NATO DIANA accelerator, WPE developed ResilPower Unit, a modular hybrid energy system that combines wind and solar sources, innovative storage and AI-driven predictive control. Designed for energy continuity, autonomy and adaptability, ResilPower Unit addresses the needs of dual-use scenarios, supporting both civilian infrastructure and defense, where reliability, resilience and rapid integration are critical.
WPE designs, tests and validates energy systems that go beyond theoretical efficiency, focusing on real operational constraints such as intermittency, environmental stress, system integration, safety and lifecycle cost. Through end-to-end engineering and technical advisory services, WPE supports individuals and organizations in reducing energy dependency while enabling a measurable and pragmatic energy transition.
The company is supported by a multidisciplinary team with expertise in mechanical and electrical engineering, materials science and ICT, complemented by professionals in business development, strategic planning and management control.
