Dave May

Dave May is an experienced legal and fraud risk management professional with expertise in investigations across Europe, Sub-Saharan Africa, and the Americas. Currently serving as Investigations Counsel at WPP since June 2022, responsibilities include advising on investigations, reviewing whistleblowing reports, and supporting litigation efforts. Previously, Dave held the position of Investigations Manager for EMEA at WPP, focusing on business integrity and fraud risk reduction. Dave also worked as a consultant for Standard Bank Group and other firms, managing complex investigations and fraud risk assessments. With a long tenure at Standard Bank from 1995 to 2019, roles included Head of Regional Investigations and Regional Manager, where leadership involved managing teams and high-profile investigations across multiple African countries. Dave holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the University of South Africa.
