Francesca Coli

Francesca Coli is an experienced legal professional with a strong background in commercial law and mergers and acquisitions. Currently serving as Deputy General Counsel at WPP since February 2015, Francesca leads a legal team focused on various legal issues, including client contracts, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance, while also managing legal relationships with global clients and advising on new technologies. Previous roles include Associate General Counsel in M&A and Legal Counsel at Herbert Smith Freehills, where expertise encompassed corporate finance, private acquisitions, and advertising law. Francesca began her legal career at Clayton Utz, specializing in corporate and energy law. Educational qualifications include a combined degree in Law and Political Science from The University of Western Australia and an exchange program in International Law at Uppsala University.
