Matt Merrick

Matt Merrick is the Group Technical Accounting Director at WPP, where they utilize their strong IFRS knowledge and extensive experience in technical accounting policy, statutory reporting, and audit roles. Previously, they held key positions at BP, including Director of Upstream Accounting Policy and Accounting Policy Manager, where they managed complex accounting issues and provided training on accounting policies. Matt also worked as an Internal Auditor at Halliburton and as an Auditor/Accountant at Monahans, leading audit teams and preparing financial statements. They earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Durham University, graduating with honors.
