Mark Mummert has a diverse work experience in the field of biology and environmental consulting. Mark started their career as a Biological Technician at Condor Country Consulting, Inc. in 2014, where they worked until 2015. Mark then joined The Wildlife Society Western Section as a Student Volunteer Co-Coordinator from 2015 to 2016. In 2015, they also worked as an Associate Wildlife Biologist at The Wildlife Project.
From 2016 to 2019, Mark worked at NOREAS Inc as a Field Biologist, primarily serving as a biological monitor for remediation activities at Hunters Point Naval Shipyards and Camp Beale MRS 03 Southwest. Mark then joined Area West Environmental, Inc. as a Biologist I from 2018 to 2021.
In 2021, Mark gained further experience in the field as a Field Biologist at Self Employed, HELIX Environmental Planning, Inc., SWCA Environmental Consultants, and WRA, Inc. Their role involved conducting field work and biological surveys.
Throughout their career, Mark has demonstrated a strong commitment to the field of biology and environmental conservation.
Mark Mummert~CFE began their education journey in 2011 at Sacramento City College, where they obtained a Liberal Arts Degree in 2015 with a focus on Math and Science. During this time, from 2011 to 2013, they also pursued a Field Ecology Certification at Sacramento City College, specializing in Biology/Biological Sciences.
In addition to their degree and certification, Mark Mummert~CFE has obtained several other certifications. In 2013, they obtained a Field Ecology Certification from Sacramento City College. In 2016, they acquired a scientific collection permit from the California Department of Fish and Wildlife. In 2017, they earned a HAZWOPER 40-Hour Certification from Safety Unlimited, Inc. Finally, in 2021, Mark Mummert~CFE became a Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control through CISEC, INC.
