Pema Lin has extensive work experience in HR and people operations. Their most recent role was as the VP of People Operations at WRA, Inc. starting in October 2020. Prior to that, they worked as the Head of People at Medium from December 2017 to October 2020. They also served as the Head of HR Operations at AltSchool from April 2015 to December 2017, where they were responsible for coaching and advising managers, strategic workforce planning, and implementing HR policies and programs. Before that, Pema was an HR Manager at JustAnswer LLC from July 2011 to March 2015, leading HR functions and delivering training programs. They also worked as a Senior Recruiter at Snagajob in early 2011. From October 2009 to January 2011, Pema held the position of Manager of Recruitment & Selection at SNL Financial, where they led global talent acquisition efforts and developed a 3-year strategy. Before that, they worked as a Consultant at Monument Consulting from May 2007 to October 2009, providing talent acquisition solutions and conducting salary analyses.

Pema Lin has a Master of Theological Studies (MTS) in Buddhist Studies from Harvard Divinity School. Prior to that, Pema Lin obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in International Studies and Religious Studies from the University of Richmond. In addition to their formal education, Pema Lin has also obtained certifications as a Certified Integral Coach from New Ventures West in February 2021 and as a Certified Trainer in Situational Leadership: Building Leaders & Taking Charge from Situational Leadership in November 2013.
