Christopher Shipman is an experienced photojournalist currently employed at WRAL since March 2024, operating Sony XDCAM HD cameras and conducting live shots with LiveU technology. Prior experience includes serving as a photojournalist at WDAF-TV FOX4 and WJBF NewsChannel 6, where duties involved handling various HD camera systems and managing live broadcasts. Christopher has also worked as a freelance photographer and associate producer, providing news story ideas and editing footage. Additional roles include night auditor at The Partridge Inn and Hilton Garden Inn, along with contributions to The Borgen Project, where research and advocacy on poverty were key tasks. Christopher holds a Master of Arts in New Media Journalism from Full Sail University, a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Studies from Augusta University, and an Associate of Science in Mass Communication/Media Studies from Georgia Military College.
