Luke Notestine is a seasoned multimedia journalist with extensive experience in sports reporting and anchoring. Currently employed at WRAL since October 2017, Luke shoots, writes, edits, and reports on local news and sports stories while also producing the Sunday night 30-minute Sports Xtra program. Previous positions include Sports Anchor/Reporter for WLOS-TV, covering teams such as the Carolina Panthers and Clemson Tigers, and for WKEF/WRGT, where coverage included the Cincinnati Reds and Ohio State Buckeyes. Luke began a broadcasting career at Heritage Broadcasting as a Weekend Sports Anchor/Reporter for WWTV, receiving the MAB Broadcast Excellence Merit Award. Luke holds a B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communication from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
