Philea Chim

Philea Chim has a wealth of work experience in the financial, technology, and policy sectors. In 2016, they began their career as a Senior Policy Analyst at HM Revenue & Customs. In 2018, they moved to the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) as a Senior Policy Advisor. In 2019, they joined QBN Capital as Senior Vice President. At QBN Capital, they are a Fintech and Deeptech focused VC fund in Hong Kong. Philea also became a Board Member of ReSec Technologies, which develops innovative enterprise-grade solutions to prevent malware penetration of networks, endpoints, and data centres. In 2020, they joined Applied Blockchain as a Non Executive Director and Navenio Ltd as a Non Executive Director. Applied Blockchain builds business applications using advanced cryptography to provide superior data security and data privacy, while Navenio has developed infrastructure-free, highly scalable, accurate and robust indoor location solutions. In 2021, they joined Wrisk as a Non Executive Director. Wrisk is an FCA-authorised platform that helps leading motor and consumer brands co-create and operate customised and mobile-first insurance products.

Philea Chim holds a Master of Science (MSc) from the University of Oxford and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) from UCL. Additionally, they have completed the Blockchain Executive Education Programme from UCL.
