Viet Tran

Viet Tran has over 20 years of experience in the technology industry. From 1998 to 2001, they were the VP of Global Operations and Director of Engineering at Ulysses netSolutions, Inc. During this time, they developed and submitted a business plan to establish an outsource office in Vietnam, and recruited, trained, and coached 4 Vietnamese managers and 32 engineers. From 2001 to 2003, they were an Independent Consultant at Sherman Associates, where they designed and lead consulting engineers to develop a multi-property property management system. From 2003 to 2006, they were a Senior Web Developer at ShopNBC, where they co-developed and maintained a $1M-revenue-per-day retail Web site. From 2006 to 2009, they were the Director of Technology/Information System at Grand Sierra Resort and Casino, where they recruited a 25-member IT department and built IT infrastructure from ground zero. From 2009 to 2010, they were the VP of Product Development at Wireless Ronin Technologies, where they spearheaded software development with 30+ software engineers and three product lines. Finally, from 2010 to present, they have been the Founder/CTO of WriteOn, Inc., where they designed, developed, and published top ranking mobile apps and created Notes Plus (iOS) and INKredible (iOS and Android), handwriting note-taking apps used daily by millions of users. Apple installed INKredible on its retail stores' demo iPads since April 2014.

Viet Tran attended the University of Minnesota from 1994 to 1997, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science.
