Mark Saad is a seasoned AI engineer and machine learning specialist with extensive experience in developing advanced systems and models. Currently serving as a Senior AI Engineer at Writer since July 2023, Mark has made significant contributions to Retrieval Augmented Generation systems and Knowledge Graph frameworks. Prior to this role, Mark worked at athenahealth as a Principal Machine Learning Engineer, leading the development of a Large Language Model to enhance NLP capabilities. Additional experience includes positions at Virtusa as a Lead Machine Learning Engineer, Google as a Technology Manager (MBA Intern), and various software engineering roles in organizations such as Velir, United Technologies, Innuva, the Egyptian Armed Forces, and Alexandria Trading Group. Mark holds an MBA in Entrepreneurship from the Isenberg School of Management, UMass Amherst, and advanced degrees in Information Technology and Computer and Systems Engineering from Alexandria University.
