Bassem Khalifa

Bassem Khalifa has a wealth of work experience, beginning in 2011 as an Operations Coordinator at The DMZ at Ryerson University. In 2013, they moved to Siemens Canada as a Quality Management Analyst - Industrial Engineer. In 2014, they became a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt at Brookfield RPS. In 2016, they took on the role of Manager, Process Excellence at RBC Insurance, where they were responsible for the development of the business case, selection of supplier, and securing approval from group executive for a multi-year automation road map with a budget of over $10MM. In 2018, they became Director, Global Strategy & Operations at DECIEM | THE ABNORMAL BEAUTY COMPANY, leading a global team of 7 strategist responsible for enabling over $200MM in sales through operations optimization. Finally, in 2019 they joined RBC as Senior Manager, Business Transformation, where they managed the delivery of over 50 initiatives ranging from Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing and related Artificial Intelligence capabilities. In 2022, they became Head of Wrk Action Product & Partnerships.

Bassem Khalifa studied Industrial Engineering - Operations and Strategy Management at Ryerson University. Bassem also completed a Practical Data Science and Machine Learning degree at Ryerson University. Bassem is also a Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
