Erin Thornton has had a diverse and extensive work experience. Erin is currently a Co-Founder & Partner at WRTHY, an award-winning social impact agency. Prior to that, they co-founded the agency in 2016 and continues to contribute to its success. Before WRTHY, Erin founded their own consulting company, Erin Thornton Consulting, LLC, where they served as the President from July 2015 to March 2017.
From September 2010 to July 2015, Erin worked as the Executive Director for Every Mother Counts, an organization focused on maternal health. Before that, they held the position of Global Policy Director at The ONE Campaign from September 2002 to September 2010, where they worked on international policy issues.
Erin also has experience in financial analysis, having worked as a Country Risk Analyst at the Export-Import Bank of the United States from August 2000 to September 2002. Erin started their career as a Presidential Management Fellow at the U.S. Department of State.
Throughout their various roles, Erin has shown a commitment to social impact, innovative strategies, and creating meaningful change on social and environmental issues.
Erin Thornton has a strong education history, with degrees from both Yale University and Duke University. Erin earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in International Studies and History from Duke University, where they studied from 1993 to 1997. Additionally, they completed their Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in International Relations and Affairs at Yale University, attending from 1998 to 2000. Erin specialized in Comparative Area Studies and History during their studies at Duke University, showcasing their interest in global affairs and historical analysis.
