Christopher Horting

Christopher Horting has a strong background in systems engineering and administration. Their most recent role was at WSFS Bank, where they served as the VP and Manager of Systems Engineering. In this position, they were responsible for administering and maintaining the virtualized Data Center systems environment, Microsoft Active Directory and Azure environment, and select bank-hosted applications. Prior to that, Christopher worked as a Systems Engineer at FMC Corporation, providing technical insight and solutions for the global infrastructure. Christopher also worked as a Team Lead at Advanced Network Products, Inc., where they led a team of desktop and server support technicians. Christopher began their career at Northrop Grumman Corporation, serving in various roles such as Systems Administrator, Field Support Lead (Homeland Security), Help Desk Project Lead (Homeland Security), and Help Desk Analyst (Texas Protective Services). Throughout their career, Christopher has demonstrated expertise in areas such as Windows Server administration, software deployment, network administration, and infrastructure hardening.

Christopher Horting obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English Language and Literature from Bucknell University, where they studied from 1996 to 2000. In terms of additional certifications, Christopher Horting has earned various credentials from different institutions. Christopher obtained the Dell Certified Systems Expert (DCSE) certification from Dell Technologies in January 2003. From Microsoft, they obtained the Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) certification in 2000 and 2003, the Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) certification in 2000, 2003, and 2005, the Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) certification in 2000, 2003, and 2012, the Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer - Systems Infrastructure (MCSE-SI) certification in 2012, the Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert: Cloud Platform and Infrastructure certification in 2016, and the Microsoft 365 Security Administration certification in 2021. Christopher also holds the VMware Certified Professional (VCP) certification in 2012 and 2015, the VMware Certified Professional 5 - Data Center Virtualization (VCP5-DCV) certification in 2012, the VMware Certified Professional 6 - Data Center Virtualization (VCP6-DCV) certification in 2015, the VMware Certified Professional 5 - Cloud (VCP-Cloud) certification in 2012, and the VMware Certified Professional 6 - Cloud Management and Automation (VCP6-CMA) certification in 2015. Furthermore, Christopher Horting obtained the Nutanix Certified Professional 5 - Multicloud Infrastructure certification from Nutanix in 2020.
