Sagara Gunathunga is a seasoned technology professional currently serving as Director and Head of Developer Relations for Identity and Access Management at WSO2 since March 2022. With extensive experience at the Apache Software Foundation since July 2009, Sagara contributes as a committer and PMC member on various Apache Web Service projects, including Apache Woden and Apache Axis2, among others. Previously, Sagara held the position of Vice President, Web Services at IntegrationWorks from September 2019 to February 2022, and served in several roles at WSO2 from May 2011 to September 2019, including Director and Principal Integration Consultant. Sagara's career began as a Software Engineer at IFS in 2007, followed by roles at Aeturnum where progress included positions from Software Engineer to Tech Lead. Educationally, Sagara earned a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Peradeniya and a BIT in IT from the University of Colombo.
