Alex Thomas is the Associate Director and Transport Net Zero Team Lead at WSP, focusing on carbon quantification and transport decarbonisation. With a solid background in local authority transport policy and strategies, Alex employs a pragmatic approach to tackling transport challenges while prioritizing climate action. Alex's previous roles include positions at Exeter City Futures and Devon County Council, where they gained extensive experience in project management, stakeholder engagement, and public consultation. Alex holds a Master’s degree in Transport Planning and Engineering and a Bachelor’s degree in Geography, both from the University of Southampton.
