David Cochrane

David Cochrane is a seasoned professional in engineering and management, currently serving as Senior Vice President at WSP since July 2023. Prior to this role, David held various leadership positions at HS2 Ltd from May 2016 to June 2023, including Head of Engineering & Environment for Phase 1 BBV, Head of Engineering Planning, and Area Manager. David's earlier career includes significant roles at Transport for Greater Manchester as Metrolink Programme Manager and Department Manager for Infrastructure Projects, along with experience as Project Leader at the Highways Agency from January 1989 to October 2006. David's academic background includes a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Civil Engineering from The University of Bolton, earned from 1990 to 1994.
