Derek Neilson is currently the Asia General Counsel at WSP, bringing over 15 years of experience in corporate and commercial law from both private practice and corporate environments. Previously, Derek served as General Counsel for Adani Australia, managing legal and compliance issues for significant projects, including the Carmichael coal project. Earlier in their career, Derek was a Senior Associate at Norton Rose Australia, specializing in insurance, energy, and resources law, and advising on major transactions. Derek holds a BA/LLB from Monash University.
