Eric Bird

Eric Bird is currently serving as the acting Head of Geotechnics and Tunnels at WSP while also holding the position of Technical Director at Antarctica New Zealand, where they lead the technical aspects of the Scott Base Redevelopment Project. Eric has previously worked as a Hydropower Project Manager at Meridian Energy and as an Engineering Geologist at Golder Associates. Their extensive experience includes roles as a Technical Director at Arrow International and as a Risk Advisor/Engineering Geologist at Tonkin + Taylor. Eric holds a Master's Degree in Engineering Geology and a Bachelor's Degree in Geology, both from the University of Canterbury.
