Jay Hyde is an accomplished electrical engineer with extensive experience in high voltage electrical engineering and general engineering. As the Owner and Director of Maugre (Pty) Ltd since March 2018, Jay leads operations in Southern Africa, serving as the Sub Saharan agent for Streamer Electric specializing in lightning protection for MV power lines. Holding the role of Senior I&C Engineer at Parsons Brinckerhoff since December 2014, Jay supervises the installation and commissioning of control systems for a 4 x 700MW power plant. Previous positions include Senior Engineer at ELB Engineering Services, Owner of HH Enterprises and Horrible Hyde Enterprises, Engineer at DIgSILENT, and Principal Technician at Eskom. Jay holds degrees in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from multiple institutions, including the University of the Witwatersrand and several technikons.
