Johan Goosen

Johan Goosen is a Principal Environmental Planner at WSP, leading the Sydney environmental planning and stakeholder engagement team since December 2018. Prior to this role, Johan served as Associate Director for Environmental Services at Aurecon from January 2012 to November 2018, where responsibilities included managing multi-disciplinary environmental permitting and planning projects, particularly in large infrastructure, mining, and manufacturing sectors. Johan began their career as a Senior Environmental Planner and later managed the Land Development Group at Golder Associates from January 2008 to December 2011. Initial experience was gained as Division Leader for Landscape Architecture/Environmental Management at African EPA, a consulting firm specializing in environmental services until its acquisition by Golder in 2008. Johan holds a Master of Science in Environmental Engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand and a Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Pretoria.
