John Costello

John Costello is currently an Associate Director at WSP, specializing in Liveable Places. With over 40 years of experience in planning, designing, and managing Public Realm schemes, John has worked in both the Public and Private sectors, including a role as Commercial Director in a Multi Academy Trust. John has extensive knowledge in highway design, transport planning, and construction, and currently manages Public Realm Schemes in a Local Authority while serving as Lead Assessor for the Lower Thames Crossing Project. Additionally, John has volunteered as a listening volunteer and Chair for the Samaritans and has held leadership roles in educational governance and youth mentoring.
