Mark Richardson

Mark Richardson is a Principal Geotechnical Engineer at WSP, specializing in offshore geotechnics. With over twelve years of consultancy experience in the offshore energy sector, they have developed expertise in designing and analyzing anchoring systems for offshore structures, including drag anchors and suction anchors. Mark co-invented the Dynamically Embedded Plate Anchor (DEPLA) and has held positions at Advanced Geomechanics, Fugro, and Rio Tinto. They completed a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering and a Doctor of Philosophy in Geotechnical Engineering at The University of Western Australia.
