Paul Smith

Paul Smith is a seasoned civil engineering professional with extensive experience in project management and operational leadership. Since September 2018, Paul has served as the Group Director for the Roads Southeast at WSP, overseeing a team of over 50 professionals across multiple offices in the UK and India. This role emphasizes fostering a strong culture centered on people, clients, and projects while ensuring efficient delivery and meeting commercial objectives. Paul’s previous positions at WSP included Highways Group Manager and Senior Associate, where significant projects encompassed the Hampshire County Council framework and the expansion of Hong Kong International Airport. Earlier in Paul's career, roles at Mott MacDonald and SCOTT WILSON SCOTLAND LTD. were marked by the management of key infrastructure projects, establishing a solid foundation in civil engineering. Paul holds a BEng (Hons) in Civil Engineering from Newcastle University.
