Phil Wells

Phil Wells is a seasoned leader in the railway industry, currently serving as Group Director for Stations at WSP, where they oversee nearly 250 staff and manage significant projects, including the Oxford Station redevelopment. With over 34 years of experience, they have developed expertise in engineering and project management through roles at AECOM, British Rail, and URS Corporation, among others. Phil holds a Master’s Degree in Engineering from the University of Cambridge and an MSc in Project Management from the University of Reading. Their extensive career has seen them lead intricate railway infrastructure projects for a variety of clients, demonstrating a commitment to excellence in the field.
