Stephen Bonina

Stephen Bonina is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the rail and transit industry. Currently serving as Vice President and Senior Engineering Program Manager at WSP since March 2017, Stephen specializes in commuter rail, heavy rail rapid transit, light rail vehicles, streetcars, and diesel multiple unit rail vehicles. Prior to this role, Stephen held the position of President/Executive Vice President at Stadler Rail US Inc and worked as a Principal Consultant at SNC-Lavalin Rail & Transit, where notable achievements included leading the specification development for new DMU vehicles for the Dallas Area Rapid Transit. Stephen’s career also encompasses pivotal roles at CH2M, the Port Authority of NY & NJ, and General Electric, where contributions ranged from project management to technical oversight and quality control processes. Stephen holds a Master of Science in Management from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from the State University of New York Maritime College.
