Wayne Hatcher is a Chartered Civil Engineer and Fellow of Engineering New Zealand, currently serving as the Technical Director for Asset Management at WSP NZ. With a strong commitment to delivering infrastructure that is fit for purpose, affordable, and resilient, Wayne leads a team of over 30 Technical Directors while supporting more than 800 engineers and technical professionals in implementing the company’s technical strategy. Previously, Wayne gained valuable experience as a Reticulation Engineer at Hastings District Council and a Principal Consultant in Global Asset Management at Opus International Consultants, specializing in infrastructure asset management across various international markets. Wayne holds a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Canterbury and a Master of Technology in Pavements from Deakin University.
