Tanya Carter

Tanya Carter is an experienced news anchor and reporter with a career spanning over three decades. Currently serving as a news anchor and reporter at WTVA since August 2016, Tanya anchors the noon, 4 PM, and 6:30 PM newscasts. Prior to this, Tanya held the position of main anchor and assistant news director at WABG-TV6, where responsibilities included anchoring regional evening newscasts, researching and producing news stories, and providing election coverage. Tanya has also worked as a weekend anchor and reporter at WABG-TV, a reporter at WWMT-TV, and in field and studio production at WNYW FOX 5 News. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Arts Television Broadcasting and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Studies from Hofstra University, as well as a certificate in Covering the Courts from The Donald W. Reynolds National Center for Courts & Media.
