Tom Leedom has worked in the scientific field for nearly 20 years. Tom began their career in 2002 as an Associate Scientist at Isis Pharmaceuticals, where they lead and ran assays for fast-paced, high-throughput drug discovery work. In 2005, they moved to Pfizer as a Scientist. In 2013, they joined Solstice biologics as a Scientist, where they were the Biology lead for Immuno-Oncology project. During their time there, they established and validated PK and stability assays, humanized xenograft models, and in vivo fluorescence-based tissue distribution models. In 2018, they moved to Halozyme Therapeutics, Inc. as a Scientist. Most recently, they have been a Principal Scientist at Wugen since 2020.
Tom Leedom obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biology, General from Humboldt State University between 1993 and 1998. Tom then went on to receive their Master's degree in Animal Sciences from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
