Dave Slocombe

Dave Slocombe has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Dave co-founded WUKA in 2017 and served as the COO. Prior to that, they worked at Trainline from 2014 to 2020, holding various positions including Senior Product Director and Product Director. Dave also worked at Heads Up London - Wearable Technology Forum as the founder from 2013 to 2015. In 2014, they were the VP of Product at Raceyourself. From 2011 to 2014, they worked at lastminute.com as the Head of Mobile and Innovation Product Manager. In 2013, they co-founded Ideas Runway - Build a Travel Startup in 48hrs. Dave was also the Managing Director at Project Bureau from 2003 to 2011. Earlier in their career, they worked at Hitachi as the Head of Strategy and Services, Incubation Project and as a Strategic Product Design Associate. Dave was also a Visiting Professor at Interaction Design Institute Ivrea, Italy and an Interaction Designer at Whirlpool Corporation.

Dave Slocombe completed their Masters in Interaction Design at the Interaction Design Institute Ivrea, Italy from 2001 to 2003. Prior to that, they pursued their undergraduate education at the University of Wales from 1997 to 2000, where they obtained a Design Futures | BA Hons degree. During this time, they focused on a range of subjects including Interaction Design (IxD), design strategy and foresight, as well as rapid prototyping.
